Hunting Guidelines

Hunting season will soon be upon us, we are reaching out to all hunters/large game harvesters of Gesgapegiag to help us update the current hunting guidelines.

In order to update the guidelines, it is important that the community be consulted
We will host 4 consultation sessions for all Gesgapegiag registered community members in
the following groups:

  12-17yrs Sept 16, 2022 from 3:30-4:30 Wejgwapniag School Students (morning)

  12-17yrs Sept 16, 2022 New Richmond High School Gesgapegiag Students (afternoon)

  18-55 yrs Sept 20, 2022 from 6:30-7:30 Galgoasiet

  And 55+ On Sept 25th, 2022 from 3:00-4:00 Elders lodge

Elders who wish to meet at their home can contact me at the band at (418) 759-3441 to set
up a meeting time at your convenience.
