Please be advised that Chief & Council has approved an amendment to the
Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual regarding religious, spiritual
and cultural leave on July 06, 2026.

Employees may now use up to five days from their existing annual personal
leave entitlement for approved religious, spiritual or cultural purposes, including
hunting, fishing, harvesting, ceremonies and powwows.

This does not create additional paid leave days or increase the existing personal
leave entitlement. Leave requests must continue to be submitted in advance and
remain subject to supervisor approval.

The amended policy will be updated on the website.
